Caterers
12 months before the wedding date ask around amongst friends of friends to see if you can find a caterer with a good reference and if possible ask to sample their food. Work out a list of questions to ask each possible caterer so that you have a fair comparison and get written quotations from each one. The catering is one of the most expensive elements of your wedding so it is imperative that the right decisions are made.
Rule of thumb is to keep to a simple menu made of good quality, possibly local ingredients served up in a professional manner with suitable table decorations to display it at it’s best.
If you decide to move away from the simple theme and wish to try the unusual or varied
menu there are many to choose from and you can mix and match quite easily -
6 months before the wedding confirm catering and discuss your menus and seating plan
with each of your caterers in the event of there being more than one.
Two to three months before the wedding make sure everything has been confirmed in
writing and give your final head count and seating plan to your caterer. Prepare
the place cards. Refer our sister site www.missit-
Two to three weeks before the wedding confirm any last minute details and the delivery times.
